In 2025, 80% of the 230 WHS graduating seniors achieved university entrance (UE), placing Wakatipu fourth out of the 185 public co-ed schools in the country.
"It doesn’t mean 80% of our students go to university, but it means they’ve got their best possible qualification, and they’ve got as many doors open and options available to them as we could possibly provide," said Principal Oded Nathan.
Other noteworthy year-end results for 2025 included an NCEA Level 2 pass rate of 89% and Level 2 with excellence of 20%. 13 students attained scholarships, including eight returning students. 80% of all Year 10s also achieved literacy and numeracy co-requisite results.
